Canadian Privacy Compliance
Contracting Hub operates in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Canada's federal privacy law governing how private-sector organizations collect, use, and disclose personal information in the course of commercial activity.
We also comply with the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for all electronic communications. We will never send you commercial electronic messages without your express or implied consent, and every message includes a clear unsubscribe mechanism.
Information We Collect
When you use Contracting Hub, we collect information you provide directly: your name, email, business name, phone number, and service area. We also collect usage data including pages visited, features used, and device information.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Contracting Hub service
- To communicate with you about your account and updates
- To improve our platform based on usage patterns
- To send relevant business tips and product updates (opt-out anytime, per CASL requirements)

Payment Processing
Stripe — processes all payments. Stripe receives your payment card details, billing address, and transaction amounts. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. Stripe Privacy Policy

Twilio — powers SMS notifications and reminders. Twilio receives your phone number and message content. Twilio Privacy Policy
SendGrid — delivers transactional and marketing emails. SendGrid receives your email address and message content. SendGrid Privacy Policy
Mapping & Location
Mapbox — provides route planning and map tiles. Mapbox may receive location queries and service area data. Mapbox Privacy Policy
Google Maps — used for address autocomplete and geocoding. Google may receive addresses you enter. Google Privacy Policy
Data Storage & Retention
Your data is stored on secure servers in Canada. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. We never sell your personal information to third parties.
Retention period: We retain your personal data for the duration of your active account plus 2 years after account closure. After this period, your data is permanently deleted from our systems and backups. You may request earlier deletion at any time.
Your Rights Under PIPEDA
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for data collection (which may limit service functionality)
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
